Poseidon Socks

These socks are knitted from the toe up. They feature a waving lace pattern on the top of the foot and around the leg.

The pattern is available for free here or on Ravelry.




Skills used

Provisional cast-on, knitting in the round, increasing, decreasing, picking up stitches.

Finished measurements

Foot circumference: 8″


30 stitches and 38 rounds = 4” in stockinette on US 1.5 (2.5 mm) needles


Knit Picks Essential Solid [75% superwash wool, 25% nylon; 231 yd (211 m); 50 g skein]; color: Gulfstream, 2 skeins.


US 1.5 (2.5 mm) circular needle, 32″ long or 1 set of US 1.5 (2.5 mm) DPNs
